I heard all about zipper fear when I was learning to sew. But I remember thinking, "huh" what's that all about when I did my first project with a zipper (I think it was a dress, with a zipper down the center back). That said I still haven't attempted to do a lapped zipper or an invisible zipper; And my last two zipper attempts have turned out less than stellar (I blame my sewing machine, I swear it has the widest zipper foot known to sewingkind).
A lot of fabric purse patterns are zipper-less, I don't get it. I love purse with pockets, really the more pockets the better. I just saw this tutorial for a pocket zipper and thought it was brilliant, and it will be how I do my zippered interior pockets from now on.
